Chewing tobacco can cause bad breath, decreased sense of taste, a black hairy tongue, and yellow, stained teeth.

Smokeless tobacco can cause gum disease and recession, which can lead to bone and tooth loss. It wears away enamel on teeth and has been linked to dental cavities.

Smokeless tobacco is a pre-cancerous disease which is characterized by white patches and oral lesions on the checks, gums and/or tongue.
